LinkThe Walk of Life

For this week's blog I would like to share the stage with Margie Reese, who has been involved in a special ministry the Lord has placed on her heart for over a year. This is what she writes:

For over a year now the Lord has placed a desire to walk the streets of Boise and pray over different issues of concern. I am always amazed at the things the Spirit leads me to pray over. I sense the Lord's desire to use our legs and voices to walk up and down the streets of Boise to invoke His Spirit, to bring in His divine will for our area and our people. I have a heart to pray over various churches that He would wake up the body. I feel the need to see the Spirit revive the church to make us ready to receive the lost, as he would bring them into our arms.

I have had many amazing things happen out there. One time we showed up at the right time to rescue a baby in a car. The mother had left several small children in a car to go into a house. The car was running, and a toddler went to the wheel and started to play with the automatic gear shift. We were able to run to the house and get the mother.

So much of the praying involves things prayed in faith that are not visible to me. However, one time I asked to see some results. I walked and prayed over the street where I live. That week the police found a meth lab across the street from my house. The next week the Lord told me to pray over the streets to the left of my house. That evening there was a drug bust on one of those streets. The next week I felt the Lord speak to go to another area of town. I did not do it; I stayed in my own area. A few days later there was a teenager stabbed in the area I would have been walking. I understand that even though I do not always see results there is an impact.

One of the greatest needs is for the Lord to call out those with the gift of intercession. As Jackson Senyonga would say, "Little prayer, little power, much prayer, much power." The Lord wants to do big things, remarkable things through the obedience and prayer of His people.

Margie goes out each Thursday at noon. To find out where she will be next, view the Announcements on our home page.
