Teacher (Lead Person) Must…

  • Complete a CM application AND a personal interview with the CM Director.
  • Attend regularly scheduled Teacher’s Meetings/appropriate trainings.
  • Attend the alternate adult service on a weekly basis.
  • Arrive 20-30 minutes before service time.

Job Description:

  • Prepare with prayer.
  • Over see the general tone, order, and safety of the room.
  • Come early to oversee the set up and stay late to supervise the clean up.
  • Periodically check sign-in sheets and take a head count.
  • Maintain classroom activity format and direct other CM Workers.
  • Oversee and direct discipline and safety procedures (communicate with the parents and coordinator any particular discipline problems or special highlights of class).
  • Communicate any supply restock or staffing ratio needs to the CM Coordinator.
  • Inform the Coordinator if someone did not show up for their scheduled date, or if there is need for more (or less) personnel due to changing numbers of children.
  • Be part of the Ministry Team (come early, stay late to clean up, arrange for replacements from the approved list of Back-Up personnel if you are unable to be there, etc.)

Helper / Greeter Must…

  • Serve as a team with at least one other CM Worker.
  • Complete a screening application.
  • Attend regularly scheduled Teacher’s Meetings/appropriate trainings.
  • Attend the alternate adult service on a weekly basis.
  • Arrive 30 minutes before service time.

Job Description:

  • Create a warm, welcoming, and safe environment for the children. Be sure to greet and release children in front of their parents.
  • Prepare with prayer & read the lesson text from you Bible previous to the class.
  • Be there early and have the sign-in materials in place.
  • Keep a careful eye on the sign-in/sign-out process. (It is important that only those signing the child IN are authorized to sign-out that child.)
  • Be relational (Friendly, observant, sensitive, etc.)
  • Assist the Activity Leader (Worship, Bible Teacher, Crafts Person, etc.) in any way possible. Help to eliminate distractions and maintain the classroom activity format. Participate in the worship, teaching, & activities while assisting the children to follow instructions.
  • Follow discipline procedures in a firm and loving way. Take the initiative & authority.
  • Be available for small group prayer or individual counseling as needed.
  • Be part of the Ministry Team (come early, stay late to clean up, arrange for replacements from the approved list of Back-Up personnel if you are unable to be there, etc.)

Youth Assistant Worker (6th – 12th graders) must…

  • Serve in the Children’s Ministry (CM) under the supervision of an adult Children’s Servant.
  • Have parent’s permission and support signed for each quarter, or event, assigned.
  • Attend all scheduled Youth Training Sessions.
  • Attend the Student Ministries classes, or the adult services on a weekly basis.

Job Description:

  • Arrive 30 minutes before service time.
  • Assist the Lead Person in the care & safety of the children.
  • Be a good example.
  • Play with the children in an age appropriate fashion and learn their names.
  • Help children to listen and follow instructions of the Teacher, or Lead Person.
  • Help with the clean up at the end of the assigned shift. (Replacing desks, vacuuming, erase chalk board, etc.)

Worship Leader Must…

  • Complete a screening application AND a personal interview with the CM Director.
  • Attend the General CM Orientation
  • Attend regularly scheduled Teacher’s Meetings/appropriate trainings.
  • Attend the alternate adult service on a weekly basis.

Job Description:

  • Arrive 30 minutes before service time.
  • Prepare with prayer & seek God’s leading in the selection of songs.
  • Meet with your Worship Team for practice (If applicable) .
  • Come early to set up.
  • Pray with the kids before and after worship.
  • Teach praise & worship directly and by example.
  • Receive the Offerings.
  • Put away all equipment & materials when you are finished.
  • Be part of the Ministry Team (come early, stay late to clean up, arrange for replacements from the approved list of Back-Up personnel if you are unable to be there, etc.)
