Because Jesus told us to go into all the world and make disciples. He told His church that they would receive power from the Holy Spirit to be His witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the end of the earth (Acts 1:8). Short-term missions broaden the vision of those who go, add fruit to the account of those who send them (Phil. 4:17), bless the believers where they go, and witness to unbelievers. We have sent short-term missions groups to Romania, Mexico, San-Francisco (inner city), and we are planning one to the Philippines in the near future.
