Psalm 45

“Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.” (Psalm 45:6, NKJV)

This psalm is a love song to Christ. What a beautiful theme it is! Who is like Him? He alone is worthy of our praise. He alone will rule the earth with a scepter of righteousness. His throne is an eternal throne. He loves righteousness and hates wickedness. He has been anointed with the oil of gladness. In His majesty, He rides out victoriously. He has also cleansed us from our sins with His own blood and washed us with the washing of water of His Word. We are His beloved Bride whom He will present to Himself blameless on that glorious Day!

Take time today to meditate on each attribute of Christ that is named in Psalm 45. Which one ministers to you the most? Spend time thanking God for this and for all that Christ means to you. He is so worthy!
