Warrior and Worshiper
Feb 1, 2021 • Pastor Daryl Zachman
Today we see that not only was Abram a man of faith, he was also a man of war. He was a warrior and worshiper. Because Abram had faith and courage, when he heard that his nephew Lot had been captured by the four kings of the east, he went to war against them and rescued Lot. Likewise, in our walk of faith we must battle spiritual opponents. But if we will trust God and be strong in the Lord, then He will help us overcome the enemy.
When Abram returned he was met by a mysterious character named Melchizedek. Melchizedek blessed Abram, and Abram gave him a tenth of all.
Who do you think Melchizedek was? What similarities does he have to Christ? (See Hebrews 7)
